Act 1 - Liquid Sun
Part 1.1
-Middle East – Ground Zero-

There are some rations under a cargo truck to your right. You may want them since you have nothing at the moment.

OK now you need to head North, but you need to watch out for any of the PMC’s (people wearing darker colored gear).

The huge robots that moo like a cow are called Gekkos. Continue to head North.

Part 1.2
-Red Zone NW Sector-
PMC: 6
According to Otacon, you need to meet the MK II. On your map, you will see where you need to go.
Up North, you will see some PMC troops roaming the area and you don’t want to be seen by them. The best way around them is to crawl. You could just run, but you will likely take a lot of damage until you evade them.
-Red Zone-
PMC: X
Continue to head North. The MK II will be in this area, but it’s on the other side. Use your map as a reference. If you manage to get yourself caught, just go ahead and proceed to find the MK II. Take off auto-aim to shoot guards in the head which should automatically kill them most of the time.

Again, check your map for a reference to your next location. You will have to get by some PMC’s in order to get there though. If you see any, try to take them out with headshots.
The Militia should be on your side though. PMC’s will never be on your side because of their nanomachines that control their behaviors. Just as long as you don’t kill too many Militias, they’ll be on your side. Before you proceed, it may help to kill some PMC’s because you will be going into Militia territory. The Militia won’t completely like you yet until you killed a few PMC’s.
Proceed into a building that goes underground.
-Militia Safe House-
Toggle the Night Vision view on your solid eye to see in the dark. Then proceed through the halls and follow the X on your map and watch for the battery life on the Solid Eye. The Militia may still not be very fond of you so as you go through the halls, it may help to use your Mk. 2 Pistol and shoot them in the head to put them to sleep.
The RPG-7 will be laying around in a room near where you find some kind of mechanical wing. It may prove useful later.
At the end somewhere, you will get a Cutscene where you meet Drebin.

-Urban Ruins-
PMC: X
*M4 Custom
The M4 Custom is one of the more ideal weapons in this game. It’s my favorite because it’s light-weight, yet it has power and its fully customizable. You can even silence it.
To your right, you’ll see some stairs. Go up them and you will find a gun and some ammo. Also, on the ledge will be an area for you to jump down on.
Turn on your Night Vision to see footprints because this area can be a maze. Jump down, then quickly proceed through the rest of the area. Eventually, you’ll come to a point where there will be some Militia. Just take them out with your Mk 22 or just wait for them to get shot. To your left, you will find a ledge, climb it. Then follow to your way out.
-Downtown-

This is how to get the Militia on your side. It’s optional, but it will make your life way easier. Just kill PMC’s for them. They may not like you at first so just keep taking out the PMC troops.
Other than that, you just need to proceed and follow your map. Make a right wherever you can and when you do, there will be an alley way in the right corner to continue. Make a left, and go down but watch out for Snipers, there will be a couple of them. Make a left at the end, then a right.
You’re almost there. Just keep heading down where there is literally a never ending battle. There will be a building for you to enter so use the map. It’s a good place to earn some Drebin points. If you have full health, just head to the building as fast as you can.
-Advent Palace-
There won’t be any enemies here, but there will still be traps. When you come to some stairs, crawl up them to avoid the traps. There are also some things on the ground before stairways that have a red glow on the top. Avoid those by crawling over them or using the MK II. Just make sure Snake isn’t near when the MK II goes over them. By crawling over them, you will automatically pick them up.
The team you are supposed to meet up with will be on the last floor.

Part 1.3
-Advent Palace-
Follow Meryl and her friends to take out everything in your way. Just keep shooting at them, but don’t forget that you can buy ammo from Drebin.
-Advent Palace Garage-
Now you just need to get out of here. You will find a hole in the roof with sun light shining through. Go through there, and you will need to climb over some items. Proceed to go outside.

Go to the very end and in the left corner there is a window to jump through.
At the very end of this street, there will be a building with a ladder on it. Climb it, then go the only way you can. Then eventually you have to jump off the building.

-Millennium Park -
PMC (Area 1): 7
PMC (Area 2): 5
Area 1 and area 2 is divided by the wall you’ll see.
Anyway, you’ll need to proceed in this area. A couple of PMC guards will be heading your way, so watch out for them.
Continue down the street where there will be more guards. In my opinion, the best way is just to take them out. Preferably with your Mk 22, shoot them in the head. Then go out in past the open field and you will see a wall on the other side (the one that separates the PMC area I mentioned). There will be a door to the Left corner. As long as you can get there, in any way shape or form, you will be good. Just a note that there is a PMC in a tower looking out, so be careful of him.
